Bypillow Group is adding another charming property to its portfolio with the takeover of the current Cluc Hotel Begur, which will now operate as Bypillow Cluc Begur. This move strengthens the group’s footprint along the stunning Costa Brava, where it already manages the iconic Bypillow Cap Sa Sal.
Nestled in the historic heart of Begur, right in the center of Empordà, this boutique hotel is housed in a beautifully preserved 19th-century casa indiana that still retains its original architecture and timeless charm. Inside, guests will find 12 unique, exterior-facing rooms, each individually styled to invite relaxation and disconnect from the everyday.
The hotel also features cozy common areas like a library, a stylish lounge, and a sunny terrace where guests can enjoy locally sourced breakfast in a tranquil setting.
This latest addition is all part of Bypillow’s strategic growth plan, aimed at blending city-based hotels with hand-picked properties in traditionally vacation-heavy hot spots—so long as they show strong potential for year-round operation.
“As much as we’re focused on urban destinations, we also see huge value in expanding into leisure areas—provided they can operate all year,” says Marc Molas, co-CEO of Bypillow. “Places like Costa Brava, Ibiza, Mallorca, and Costa del Sol perfectly fit our strategy. Their unique charm and prime locations make them ideal for offering an elevated, non-seasonal experience. We’re also actively exploring opportunities in Costa de la Luz, Costa Blanca, and other similar regions.”
Right now, Bypillow manages or is renovating 33 hotels across 13 destinations in Spain and Italy, with sights set on reaching 1,500 rooms and 40 hotels by 2026.
With this latest opening, the group continues to bet on quality, differentiation, and efficiency—bringing travelers memorable stays in distinctive spaces that stay connected to their surroundings and evolve with the expectations of the modern guest.
Bypillow’s strategic growth plan aimed at hand-picked properties in traditionally vacation-heavy hot spots really aligns with one of Entreprelier (soon: DoubleDown Hotels) brand products “BlueMed Hotels”. An exciting shift in Mediterranean hospitality—a movement away from traditional sun-and-sand holidays toward experiences that are more refined, authentic, and culturally immersive.
