Donatella Boutique Hotel | Miami Beach

From Gianni to Donatella: a new chapter of glamour unfolds in Miami Beach

Miami Beach is about to welcome its newest jewel: the Donatella Boutique Hotel and Donatella Restaurant, a stylish new sister property to the iconic former Versace Mansion, Villa Casa Casuarina. Set to debut this May at 1350 Collins Avenue, the boutique hotel will feature six elegant bedrooms inside a 1922 building designed by renowned architect Wallace Tutt, the same creative mind behind the original mansion.

The Nakash Group—the force behind Villa Casa Casuarina and The Setai Miami Beach—has teamed up with Vida & Estilo Hospitality Group to bring this luxurious new concept to life. With a vision of blending Neo-Mediterranean elegance with Miami’s electric spirit, Donatella Boutique Hotel promises to be an exclusive retreat where relaxation and sophistication go hand in hand.

At the heart of the experience is Donatella Restaurant, helmed by celebrated chef Alessandro Morrone, known for helping launch Casadonna. His menu will celebrate refined Italian flavors, serving dishes like rigatoni nduja, linguini alla vongole, and a classic veal Milanese. The restaurant will offer seating for up to 170 guests, with a cozy private dining room for intimate gatherings of 15.

Design-wise, the property channels the warmth of the Mediterranean—natural textures, neutral tones, lush greenery, and gold accents create an inviting, elevated atmosphere. “With every property, from The Setai, Miami Beach to the former Versace Mansion, our mission has always been to create memorable experiences that reflect Miami’s unique character,” said Joe Nakash, chairman of The Setai Hotel. “Donatella Boutique Hotel is the perfect complement to the former Versace Mansion, offering Neo-Mediterranean elegance and storied heritage.”

Jamil Dib, co-founder of Vida & Estilo Hospitality Group, echoes the excitement: “Our approach at Donatella is unique—the restaurant will lead the guest experience, placing exceptional dining at the heart of a boutique hotel stay.”

The Donatella Boutique Hotel joins the Nakash Group’s expanding portfolio, alongside the famed Villa Casa Casuarina, a former mansion-turned-hotel, restaurant, and event space, acquired by VM South Beach for $41.5 million in 2022. With 10 opulent suites and the celebrated Gianni’s restaurant, Villa Casa Casuarina sets a high standard—and now, Donatella is poised to bring a fresh chapter of boutique luxury to South Beach.
